What we offer You - Chiropractic adjustments

Disc Decompression

Manipulative Therapy

Manipulative Therapy

Flex/Distraction - Disc Decompression

A painless technique that creates negative pressure inside the involved disc allowing it to absorb fluid and nutrients in order to facilitate healing and decrease inflammation.  A Flexion/Distraction Bench is used to accomplish the decompression.

Manipulative Therapy

Manipulations and mobilizations

Diagnosis and hands-on treatment for mobilizing joints in order to restore normal function.  Chiropractic adjustments are specific, targeted, focused, and more precise than "manipulations"  or  "mobilizations."   It is this precision, combined with the purpose of reducing nervous system irritation, that has helped so many people.

Physiotherapy

Exercise and Posture

Physiotherapy - ultrasound, electrotherapy, and Cryotherapy

Restoration of movement and function through ultrasound, electrotherapy, Hydrocolator, and cryotherapy.  Our  therapy is designed to get you feeling like your old self again.  We take the time to develop the muscle tissue that will align your body and decrease daily fatigue so that you heal faster

Exercise and Posture

Exercise and Posture

Programs tailored to optimizing function, spinal stability, and performance.  The importance of posture is highly critical in so many different areas.  Your posture sends a message to people, and displays your sense of confidence and self awareness.  Using simple techniques to fix your posture can give you starting improvements on both your appearance and how your back feels.  You will feel stronger, healthier, and more vibrant with proper posture

Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture

therapeutic modality involving the insertion of fine needles.  It is an adaptation of Chinese Acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy,  physiology, and the principles of evidence based medicine.  It is mainly used to treat musculoskeletal pain including myofascial trigger point pain, but is also effective for postoperative pain and nausea.

Full range of customized orthotics designed to help stabilize posture and correct biomechanical dysfunction within the feet.  Structural problems in your feet can alter your walking pattern and cause pain throughout your body.  TOG GaitScan is a computerized pressure plate that is attached to a computer.  This technology assists in analyzing your gait (walking pattern) and detecting unusual foot function which may be affecting the rest of your body.  Prescription orthotics can help relieve your discomfort, by realigning and stabilizing the bones of your feet, in turn restoring your natural walking pattern.

Kinesiology Sports Taping

Kinesiology taping

Kinesioloy tape helps to lift the skin, increasing the space below it, and increasing blood flow and circulation of lymphatic fluid (swelling). This increase in the interstitial space leads to less pressure on the body's nociceptors,  which detect pain, and stimulates mechanoreceptors, to improve overall joint proproception.

Percussive Therapy

Percussive Therapy

Percussion therapy accelerates and enhances the repair of muscle fiber by providing rapid bursts of pressure in concentrated, short-duration pulses deep into the tissues of the body. This enhances the flow of blood to different critical areas, allowing for pain relief and subsequently improving function and range of motion.  It also provides a gentle stretch that in turn enhances flexibility, performance, and physical response

Intersegmental Traction

MRI Scan (Self Referral)

Intersegment Traction

Movements of the spine contribute to the traveling of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the system, and the discs in between the spine’s vertebrae require nutrients that the cerebrospinal fluid carries. Without the proper traveling of this fluid, the spine is not receiving the proper level of nutrients, which can lead to degradation of the discs and poor skeletal health of the vertebrae. The intersegmental traction table is crucial in terms of providing the spine with proper alignment, ensuring that the cerebrospinal fluid can travel throughout the necessary channels.

MRI Scan (Self Referral)

MRI Scan

Working closely with over 90 MRI scanning centres throughout the UK, we can screen and refer you for a private MRI centre from just £269.00, all within 7 days. You can arrange your private MRI scan today using our online booking system.  All MRI scans are produced on a disc and with a Consultant’s report. Having the correct diagnosis speeds up access to the correct treatment or can put your mind at rest. Either way, an early diagnosis always means a better prognosis

Electromyelograph (EMG)

MRI Scan (Self Referral)

Electromyelograph (EMG)

Surface EMG

Electromyography (EMG) is an electrodiagnostic medicine  technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles.  EMG is performed using an instrument called an electromyograph to produce a record called an electromyogram. An electromyograph detects the electric potential generated by muscle cells when these cells are electrically or neurologically activated.

Lifestyle advice

We know that an active lifestyle is an essential part of good mental and physical health and wellbeing.

Improving your diet and lifestyle can help to improve your overall general health and wellbeing.

Examples of ways to improve your lifestyle include eating healthily, maintaining a healthy weight, reducing your alcohol intake and stopping smoking.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a modern and highly effective treatment option in orthopaedic and rehabilitation medicine. The term shockwave refers to mechanical pressure pulses that expand as a wave in the body.   A wave of energy is created and delivered to the body through a hand-piece used by the practitioner to deliver the wave to the target area. Like the jet of a Jacuzzi, the hand-piece can deliver a narrow wave (‘Focused Shockwave’) or a wider wave (‘Radial Shockwave’).

What Braces and Splints Do

There are three primary main

goals of bracing and splinting:

  • to stabilize weak or injured joints
  • to prevent pain and inflammation from getting worse by limiting motion
  • to provide a measured and gradual force to a joint that is stiff (ankylosed) or contracted due to scar tissue (arthrofibrosis).

The latter form of splinting is referred to as "dynamic splinting" and uses a dynasplint or orthosplint. While other applications are static in nature,  dynamic splinting not only stabilizes a joint but also helps to provide a greater active range of motion (ROM) to that joint via dynamic tension. Secondary goals by a therapist or clinician aimed at facilitating healing, avoiding further irritation/injury, and unloading a joint may involve unloading braces, such as for osteoarthritis of the knee.

Stretching is an extremely important practice to add to your daily routine to be on your way to better health. Even if you are not planning on exercising vigorously, it is still important to stretch in order to receive multiple benefits for your body and your mind.

Benefits of Stretching

Stretching has multiple benefits for both your body and your mind. Incorporating stretching into your daily routine allows muscles to be well circulated and ultimately healthier.

Benefits of Stretching for the Body

Flexibility

Stretching improves flexibility. The more you stretch, the more you move your muscles, and the more flexible you become. Over time, stretching will become easier for your body which results in improved flexibility.

Posture

Stretching is also beneficial to improve your posture. Poor posture—a common and increasing problem—can easily be reversed and healed with daily stretching. Because stretching strengthens your muscles and encourages proper alignment, your body posture will be less slouched and more vertical.

Injury Prevention

The more you prepare your muscles for any exercising movement, the more your likelihood of injury is decreased. When your muscles are warm and stretched, movement becomes easier and more fluid-like which helps with injury prevention
